Winter is A Good Time for Liposuction
If you’re like many people, you hate fat that doesn’t seem to go away no matter how hard you workout or how much you diet. Liposuction is an ideal cosmetic procedure that can remove that fat, and winter is actually an ideal time of year to get liposuction.
Why? For one thing, recovery can be more comfortable when it’s cold outside. After many body contouring procedures, you’ll have to wear a compression garment for a few weeks to support your results and control swelling. These compression garments can get hot and sweaty in the
summer. In winter, they can serve as post-op thermal underwear! It’s also easier to keep post-op swelling under control when it’s cooler. Your body doesn’t have to work as hard to dissipate heat.
Winter clothing is a readymade way to hide healing after liposuction as well. Arm lift scars are easier to hide under a cozy sweater than a swimsuit or tank top. And when spring rolls around, most people won’t remember how you looked last summer! And speaking of swimsuits, if you have liposuction in the winter you’ll be swimsuit ready when hot weather rolls around. And when people comment about how great you look, just tell them you kept your New Year’s resolutions this year and have been spending more time at the gym!
If you’re ready for liposuction, it all starts with a consultation with a Board Certified plastic surgeon. You wouldn’t want to trust your body or this procedure to anything less! Dr. David Steckler at the Mississippi Center For Plastic Surgery is one of the few Board Certified plastic surgeons in the Jackson MS area. He’ll explain the surgery and recovery process from start to finish so you can plan with confidence. It’s a small boutique practice located in Ridgeland, complete with a private entrance and welcoming environment. We look forward to seeing you!
