Cosmetic Breast Surgery
We offer a number of cosmetic procedures to improve your breasts’ shape, proportion, and symmetry. For whatever cosmetic improvements you’d like to make, we have an experienced, Board-Certified plastic surgeon qualified to perform your procedure.
Breast Enhancement, also known as Breast Augmentation, is a surgical procedure that utilizes implants to increase the size and improve the shape of a woman’s breasts. Breast implants can help you look younger, but they also can help correct naturally-occurring asymmetry and volume loss after childbirth or weight loss. Breast augmentation can increase the fullness and projection of your breasts, improve the balance and proportions of your figure, and improve your self-image and self-confidence.
If you are looking for a better proportion or simply want larger breasts, schedule an appointment with Dr. Steckler to discuss the best sizes and implant types for you.
A Breast Lift (Mastopexy) is a surgical procedure that lifts the breasts and moves the nipples to achieve a more youthful shape. For many women, childbirth and nursing results in breasts that sag and leave the upper chest flattened, resulting in the areola (the pigmented skin around the nipple) appearing too large. Mastopexy addresses these problems singularly to lift the breasts with areola reduction or with implants to restore the fullness in the upper portion of the breasts. The combination of breast lift with implant placement is used to treat tubular or constricted breasts as well.
This surgery reduces the size of your nipples and can enhance the shape of your breasts. If your nipples are too large, prominent, or droopy, and you are self-conscious about their size and shape, Dr. Steckler can help. Schedule a consultation with us to learn about your options.
Inverted Nipple Correction
If your nipples point inward instead of outward, they can be corrected with a minimally-invasive surgical procedure. Most nipple inversions occur during development, but they may also occur from trauma during breast feeding, infection, or previous surgery.
Large breasts can cause neck, back, and shoulder pain for many women. Breast Reduction surgery addresses these symptoms. During the surgery, breast tissue is strategically removed and the breasts and nipples are lifted. Results are smaller, firmer breasts that no longer pull on your neck and back and distort your posture. Many insurance plans cover this procedure if you meet certain qualifying criteria. Discuss this with our staff to determine if you are eligible.
MALE BREAST REDUCTION
Gynecomastia is a condition where men develop larger breasts, or “man boobs.” This can be due to weight gain, hormones, or genetic factors. Men with this condition may experience extra fat and skin in their breasts in one or both breasts. We are able to perform male breast reductions, or reduction mammaplasty, to help give our male patients an improved chest contour. We are also able to reduce the size of the areola when applicable.
